I have been here many times and my dad and grandma go regularly. Really friendly helpful staff, great food and good portions. The cakes are amazing and there’s always lots of great variety to choose from. The interior is cosy and pretty and the outside seating is lovely. There’s also a nice cabinet with various things like bread dippers, sauces, wine & gin aswell as cards you can buy which I’m intrigued to try. A really nice cafe overall I don’t have anything bad to say. Again the staff are amazing here.- Meal type

Staying nearby on a visit and google brought us to this lovely friendly cafe. We dined outside as the sun had made an appearance! I think more seating would be a fabulous addition as we offered to share our picnic table with another couple as it was filling up nicely, which I think speaks volumes about how lovely everything is. The buttermilk scone was the best scone I’ve ever eaten…so good my partner bought two to take away! The steak ciabatta was unreal. I hope it stays busy and stays open for many years to come as I plan to be a regular visitor to the area. Just lovely.- Service

Just had the full cream tea, excellent, I needed a takeaway box for the cakes (and I can eat). Set in a beautiful building with tasteful decor everything was freshly made and delicious . Quiche, cheesy and tastey. Friendly, efficient service.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We arrived as a group of 6 and, even though the seating area was very busy, staff quickly found chairs for us to sit together. I can heartily recommend the cheese scones. My friends all commented on how much they enjoyed their selections from the menu. The coffee was excellent. Well worth a visit, and good value. We all agreed that we will return soon.

Amazing little coffee shop/cafe. Very cute, clean tidy and staff were very warm and welcoming. The food was amazing all homemade and fresh produce used. Will be back next time we are in the York area and will recommend to friends and family.

Arrived here at the end of a lovely walk to partake of hot drinks which were great (latte hot as requested) water was offered and gratefully accepted. Cakes and pastries looked delicious. We'll be back thanks to the great service.

A really lovely find after a delightful walk in the nearby Yearsley Woods. The staff are extremely friendly and the food and drinks were delicious as well as reasonably priced. They are dog friendly too, offering our dog treats and water too! Highly recommend :)
